Automotive Interior Trim Edgefolding

Epic Equipment & Engineering automotive interior trim edgefolding technology offers a consistent and cost-effective solution to edge-wrapping of fabrics onto molded parts. Our edgefolding process is engineered to serve as a complete workstation, effectively integrating into your production flow.

The edgefolding process ensures a tight fit between fabric and substrate. A variety of adhering options are available, including hot air, sonic welding, glues and solvents. There are relatively no limits to part size, shape, or contour capabilities and fabric options include cloth, leather and vinyl. Punching and Trimming

The form and construction of the die determines the shape punched on the work piece. Our punching presses have two components: the punch, which is attached to the reciprocating ram of the machine; and the die, which is attached to the anvil whose flat surface is perpendicular to the path of the ram. The punch pushes against the work piece, which is held in the die producing a consistent trim or orifice.
